This image shows Sh2-22, also cataloged as LBN 14, an emission nebula just west of the Lagoon Nebula in Sagittarius. This image was acquired using an SBIG STL11000M CCD camera mounted on a Tele Vue NP127is. This image is a stack of 4 eight-minute exposures taken through a Hydrogen-alpha filter. The images were calibrated, defect-corrected and stacked using AIP4Win Version 2. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 4008x2672.
