NGC5128 - Centaurus A
Object: NCG5128
(Arp 153)
Irregular Galaxy
Const.: Centaurus
Camera: STL11000M Scope: TEC 200FL Mount: AP1200
Filter(s): L:R:G:B Exposure: 8x8m:4x8m:4x8m:4x8m Guatemala
NGC5128 - The galaxy Centaurus A in Centaurus. This image is a color composite consisting of a stack of 8 eight minute exposures for the luminance channel and stacks of 4 eight minute exposures for each of the color channels. The images were acquired using an SBIG STL11000M CCD camera on a TEC 200FL 8" f/8 refractor. The exposures were stacked and a Sigmoid Scaling of the luminance channel was performed. The colors were joined and automatically balanced using AIP4WIN V2.3.0. This image has been resampled from its original size of 4008 x 2672.

NGC5128 - The galaxy Centaurus A in Centaurus. This image is a color composite consisting of a stack of 5 eight minute exposures for the luminance channel and stacks of 4 eight minute exposures for each of the color channels. The images were acquired using an SBIG ST-10 CCD camera through a Takahashi TOA130 130mm f/7.7 refractor. The exposures were stacked and a Sigmoid Scaling of the luminance channel was performed. The colors were joined and automatically balanced using AIP4WIN V2.2.0. This image has been resampled from its original size of 2184x1472.

NGC5128 - Centaurus A
Object: NCG5128 (Arp 153)
Irregular Galaxy
Const.: Centaurus
Camera: HX-916 Scope: TeleVue NP127 Mount: Vixen GP-DX
Filter(s): IR block Exposure: 40x30s blank
NGC5128 - The galaxy Centaurus A in Centaurus. This image is a stack of 40 thirty second exposures using the new TeleVue NP127 127mm f/5.2 refractor. The exposures were stacked and a Gaussian histogram shaping was performed using AIP4WIN. This image has been resampled from its original size of 1300x1030.
This is the second image ever taken through an NP127.
