M5
Object: M5 (NGC5904)
Globular Cluster
Const.: Serpens
Camera: STL11000M Scope: Tele Vue NP127is Mount: Losmandy Titan
Filter(s): L:R:G:B Exposure: 5x8m:4x8m:4x8m:4x8m blank
The globular cluster M5 in Serpens. The luminance image consists of 5 eight-minute exposures, with 4 eight-minute exposures for each color. The images were acquired using an SBIG STL11000M CCD camera mounted on a Tele Vue NP127is The luminance and color channels were calibrated and stacked, and a Richardson-Lucy deconvolution was applied. The final color composite was created using the automatic color balance feature of AIP4Win V2. This image has been resampled and cropped down from its original size of 4008x2672.

Globular Cluster
Const.: Serpens
Camera: SXV-H9 Scope: Vixen R200SS Mount: Losmandy Titan
Filter(s): IR block Exposure: 9x480s TeleVue Paracorr
The globular cluster M5 in Serpens. A stack of 9 one four minute exposures using an SXV-H9 CCD camera on a Vixen R200SS 8" f/4 Newtonian equipped with a Paracorr. The image was calibrated and stacked, and a DDP was then applied, using the defaults automatically calculated by AIP4WIN. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 1392x1040.
