NGC2237 - The Rosette Nebula
NGC2237 - The Rosette Nebula. The luminance channel of this color image is a stack of 16 four minute exposures using an Orion ED80 80mm f/7.5 refractor. Each color channel is a stack of 8 four minute exposures, all binned 1x1. The images were calibrated, defect-corrected, stacked and color combined using AIP4WIN. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 1233x977.

NGC2237 - The Rosette Nebula
NGC2237 - The Rosette Nebula. A stack of 3 eight minute exposures using an Orion ED80 80mm f/7.5 refractor. A longer series of images was actually taken, but the single tripod mounting screw slipped during the sequence, causing the later images in the series to trail in RA. I would absolutely recommend that a set of rings be used to mount this scope when using a German equatorial mount. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 1300x1030.
