This image shows the Veil Nebula in Cygnus. This image was acquired using an SBIG STL11000M CCD camera mounted on a Tele Vue NP127is. This image is a color composite of a stack of 16 eight-minute exposures using a hydrogen-alpha filter and stacks of 12 four-minute exposures through red, green and blue filters. All processing was performed using AIP4Win Version 2. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 4008x2672.

This image shows the entire Veil Nebula in Cygnus in the light of its Hydrogen-alpha emissions. This image was acquired using an SBIG STL11000M CCD camera mounted on a Tele Vue NP127is. This image was used for the luminance channel of the color image shown above. This image is a stack of 16 eight-minute exposures that were calibrated, defect-corrected, stacked and sigmoid-scaled using AIP4Win Version 2. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 4008x2672.

The Veil Nebula - Supernova Remnant
Const.: Cygnus
Camera: STL-11000M Scope: Tele Vue NP-101 Mount: Losmandy Titan
Filter(s): L:R:G:B Exposure: 6x8m:6x8m:6x8m:6x8m blank
This image of the entire Veil Nebula was acquired using an STL11000 CCD camera on a Tele Vue NP101 4" f/5.4 refractor. The image consists of 6 eight minute exposures for the luminance channel and each of the color channels. The images were calibrated, defect-corrected, stacked and color combined using AIP4Win V2. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 2592x1937.
