This image of Abell 671, a cluster of galaxies in the constellation Cancer, was acquired using an SXV-H9 CCD camera mounted on a Tele Vue NP101 Imaging System, a 101mm f/5.4 apochromatic refractor specifically optimized for CCD imaging. A Tele Vue 0.8x Focal Reducer was also used. This image is a stack of 3 eight-minute exposures that were calibrated, defect-corrected and stacked using AIP4Win Version 2. A gamma stretch was then applied to bring out the detail without burning out the galaxy cores. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 1392x1040.
