The region around the galaxy cluster Abell 1516 in Virgo. A map of the region is shown below. This image is a stack of 16 eight minute exposures using a QSI532 CCD camera through a Tele Vue NP127is 5" f/5.2 apochromatic refractor. The image was calibrated, stacked, gradient corrected, then a Sigmoid Scaling was performed, all using AIP4WIN V2. This image has been resampled down from its original size of 2161x1450. Clicking on either the image above or the map below will display an enlarged view. The map was created using MegaStar.
